*New Offering: Sensory Sundays! - An open gym time for those affected by sensory processing disorders.
OGA is now the official host of the Autism Family Social Group!
Next meeting: Sunday, August 29th. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The Autism Family Social Group was created to bring families together that share in the same journey called Autism. The group's mission is to create a loving, supportive environment for the entire family to share and learn about each others views & experiences regarding Autism. Come to share, listen, vent, or at the very least take a break while your kids play. Remember, it's an event for the whole family so siblings are welcome! The group meets on the last Sunday of every month and there is a $5 fee/ child. Read a fantastic article from an OGA parent, describing how gymnastics benefited her children on the Autism Spectrum!
The OGA special needs gymnastics program was created to build upon each individual's strengths and interests. Classes are designed on an individual basis to help our members learn and achieve goals while having fun in a social setting. Our unique equipment aids in facilitating the development of all motor skills, including jumping, coordination, balance, and body awareness.
Gymnastics classes also offer cognitive benefits! While at OGA, our students increase their self-esteem and confidence as they reach goals, achieve challenges, and discover strengths not addressed in the traditional classroom setting. Additionally, the motivation and decision making inherent in the gymnastics environment can be transferred to countless other settings.

Each child's private lesson is unique and is designed to meet the needs of the child and the family. 1-on-1 classes are the ideal setting to work towards meeting specific goals that have been established through an evaluation with our Program Director and a goal setting meeting with the parents. Many students in private lessons develop skills that will give them the ability to successfully transition into a group class.
Price: $78/ month
The goal of the class is to focus on matching the children in each group as a whole, based on the age and/or abilities of the students. Group classes are great for kids who want to work on their physical development, while also being part of a social network. These classes will not exceed a 5:1 student-teacher ratio, maintaining the focus of each student.
These classes include two or three children and are taught by one teacher. Children in this class should be friends or siblings and work well together. The low student-teacher ratio allows for students to work towards their individual goals, agreed upon during our evaluation process and parent meetings.
OGA is excited to announce that we have partnered with an outstanding martial arts center, Aim High Academy of Martial Arts, to create a one of a kind class. This class has been developed specifically for children with developmental disabilities. The class meets twice each week, once at OGA and once at Aim High, to combine both organizations’ talents to bring out the best in our students. This class will help integrate children into a social setting with small class sizes. Our experienced instructors will teach each athlete valuable skills to help develop self confidence, teamwork, physical development, social skills, how to learn in a group setting, and much more. Enrollment is limited. Please contact our Program Director for more information.
During this event the gym is reserved exclusively for children, and their families, affected by sensory processing disorders. Share quality time with your family and promote sensory integration while bouncing, climbing, and jumping at OGA. Come meet other families experiencing the same challenges and make new friends in a safe and fun environment. Space is limited. Please call prior to dropping in to make sure we are not at maximum capacity. We are keeping a low number of kids in the gym at that time, keeping it as quiet as possible.
